Mike Finn of Associated Bank was elected to the NAIOP Wisconsin Board of Directors in January 2012. Mike was nominated because of his expertise in the banking industry, his commitment to NAIOP and his excellent reputation among his peers. During his initial 6 months on the board he has assisted with an annual internal audit, enforcement of the chapter’s Investment Policy and is taking an active role in exploring membership expansion from a geographical perspective.
Briefly tell us where you work and what you do.
SVP CRE Associated Bank. I handle Wisconsin. Just celebrated 29 years.
Why did you want to join the Board?
I sincerely believe NAIOP is the most relevant CRE related trade group in our business right now and I wanted to be a part of it.
What do you hope to give to/get from the Board?
I hope to share some of my years of experience with others and help to grow the NAIOP chapter. I am particularly interested in expanding to the Madison and Fox Valley markets if the BOD deems that to be in the best interests of the chapter.
What are you currently reading?
I am a voracious reader and read mostly fiction. Grisham, Ludlum, Elmore Leonard, Sanford are some of my favorites. I am currently reading “Savages”.
Tell us something that most people don’t know about you.
I brag about this enough so it is probably not much of a secret, but I am a very proud ”papa” of two gorgeous grandchildren.
What are your hobbies outside of work?
My main hobby and passion is racquetball which I have been playing for over 35 years. We also live on 16 acres near Holy Hill and landscaping is another “hobby”.
Iphone? Droid? Blackberry?
Blackberry which has been the work phone. Anxious to convert to the iphone.
