Ryan Marks has been a member of NAIOP since 2007 and was elected to the Board of Directors in 2012.
Briefly tell us about what you do:
Ryan Companies is celebrating its 75th year as a national real estate developer and construction company. I focus our development efforts in Wisconsin primarily in the office/medical, industrial and retail sectors.
Why did you want to join the NAIOP Board of Directors?
There are a number of good organizations in the community that I am happy to support but few are as influential and important to the future success of the real estate development industry. I felt that the best way for me to help further NAIOP’s mission was to give of my time and efforts at a leadership level.
What do you hope to get from your experience? What do you hope to give?
I enjoy learning from the other experienced leaders serving on the board and on the various committees. It is an impressive group of professionals that give openly of their time and talents. I hope my time and efforts given will help to keep the organization strong and vibrant through its next 10 years of growth.
What music do you enjoy listening to?
It is very broad and is largely selected by the mood I’m in and what the tasks of the day are. Typically something like this:
Monday: Bob Marley
Wednesday: Rage Against the Machine
Thursday: Lady Gaga
Friday :Eric Clapton
Saturday: Jimmy Buffet
Sunday: Frank Sinatra
Tell us something we don’t know about you.
I’m a bad spelerr.
