One of the significant benefits of membership to NAIOP is to have a collective voice when addressing national, regional and local issues that impact economic development and/or the commercial real estate industry. Nationally we have an office in Washington D.C. staffed with lobbyists and professionals that regularly meet with our Senators and House members regarding such issues.

Locally the NAIOP Wisconsin has a Public Affairs Committee Co-chaired by Deborah Tomczyk of Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren and Dick Lincoln of The Mandel Group to follow issues. They are supported by a committee of members knowledgeable on particular issues. In February 2011 the Board of Directors also made the decision to retain a lobbyist, Tom Larson, to represent us in Madison.

Direct Giver Program
June 2012-Now that the recall elections are over, we turn our attention to the fall 2012 elections, which consist of 99 State Assembly, 16 State Senate, 8 Congressional, a U.S. Senate and, of course, a Presidential race. Do you have any candidate(s) that you want to support in this fall’s election?
If you do, and would like to be kept abreast of developments related to your favorite office seeker(s), please let us know and we will make sure to get you any information we receive from their campaign about fundraising events in our area.
You may not be aware that the Direct Giver dollars you contribute can be used to support any candidate at any government level: federal, state or local.
If you haven’t made your 2012 Direct Giver contribution yet, please consider doing so. Click HERE to contribute online, use the attached form, or simply call Chris Korjenek at 414.507.2326.
Thank you for continuing to be politically active.
