Briefly tell us what you do: As Director for the Center for Real Estate at Marquette University, I am responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Center, including programming and conferences, fundraising and sponsorships, career and job placement support for alumni and students, and interactions with the broader business community.
Which project do you love the most or are most proud of? I love adding value in any way that I can with the business community, whether that means putting on creative conferences, matching students and alumni with job and internship opportunities, and in general being a resource to our industry. I also consider myself more of a real estate person than higher-ed administrator, and truly enjoy discussing deals that are being worked on out in the market.
What do you hope to gain with your NAIOP Membership? I would love to grow my network among some of the best professionals in the market and look to build long-term relationships with other NAIOP members.
Do you have a favorite author or quote? I’m a big fan of David McCullough and Walter Isaacson – their biographies of great leaders are fantastic.
What is the funniest thing that has happened to you recently? We have a 5 month old daughter, Adeline (born 7/11/2017) and she is constantly entertaining us, whether she’s pulling off socks and putting them in her mouth or babbling happily and endlessly. She makes us laugh every day.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? Doing more teaching and leading an investment program for students who are actively managing a portfolio of real estate assets.
